Major Conferences at RUSI

Each year the Royal United Services Institute hosts several major policy conferences reflecting our commitment to the specialist interest of the defence and security community.

As the leading independent forum at the heart of Whitehall these conferences bring together academics, business, policy makers and officials allowing delegates to have the opportunity to assess and engage with these key opinion formers and help shape the defence and security landscape.

The Future Use of Battlefield Helicopters in Support of Land Operations

Part of the RUSI Air Power Series, this conference will look at current operational successes and lessons identified, future operational concepts and take a sounding from industry on their input to future technological capabilities. 

 

The Eleventh RUSI Ballistic Missile Conference

The Obama Administration’s major shift in United States policy by cancelling the decision to proceed with the ‘Third Site’ missiles and radar plans for Poland and the Czech Republic will be an integral theme at the Eleventh RUSI Ballistic Missile Conference. With authoritative presentations addressing the policies, capabilities and initiatives surrounding the key issues that now face Europe, the BMD conference is a must for policy makers, analysts and independent observers.

 

Land Warfare Conference 2010

Organised with the full support of the British Army and in partnership with AUSA, this conference will create a forum for the leading practitioners and thinkers in the land forces community, represented at the very highest levels, and will set the course of the debate in the 12 months following the start of the Defence Review and the General Election.  The conference will consider the role of land forces and defence as a whole as an instrument of national influence and debate how the Army must transform to meet the demands placed upon it in a complex global environment.  For the first time, the conference will be accompanied by open-air land systems exhibition, showcasing the latest technological advancements from industry.
