Terrorism and disaster are not new threats to the UK. However, their scope has changed from largely localized and national issues to truly global concerns. Where niche and local solutions might once have been sufficient, solutions for the future will need to be widely interoperable and appropriately scaled.
Which Homeland Security threats should be addressed?

The Homeland Security and Resilience (HSR) Department can help address all these important questions. Our role is to analyze the background to current events and issues and stimulate debate about policy options, technology and practices.
Our core conference programme focuses on the important issues concerning information and intelligence, process and legislation, tools and technologies and diplomacy and people whose options for resolution would have an immediate impact. Our workshops, lectures and debates will address the important issues and events as they emerge while our publication, Homeland Security and Resilience Monitor and other research will ensure that our members can remain well informed.
