Frontline Insights

Frontline troops

A series of events that offer unique frontline insights from commanders who have returned from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan

UK Forces have now been heavily committed to major expeditionary operations for a total of twelve years. In that time, much has been learnt about modern warfare, as the Armed Forces have had to adapt to the demands of enduring insurgencies in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Each of the Armed Services has experienced a steep learning curve and continues to respond to the needs of a dynamic security environment. Frontline Insights explores this learning process, and provides an opportunity for commanders to discuss their experiences and outline the lessons they learned during recent operations.
