In the ongoing struggle against terrorism, Pakistan is playing a crucial regional role. In this fight, Pakistani soldiers and security personnel have suffered very considerable losses. It is nevertheless important that the vision of Pakistan’s founding fathers is achieved to bring about a modern and progressive state. To achieve this long term goal, regional harmony is of paramount importance.

Since taking over in 1999, President Pervez Musharraf has led the country through many challenges. The President spoke about these challenges and how he envisions the future of his country and the region.
