Since its inception the Forum has aimed to engage decision makers and other stakeholders in round table discussions, seminars and conferences in London and the region, and establish a regular dialogue covering key issues to enhance relations between neighbours.
The Forum has taken on research projects, offered analysis and facilitated a dialogue on a wide range of topics that are relevant to this important region. In the past year we have had keynote speeches from the Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, Foreign Policy Advisor Ahmed Davutoglu and have hosted several conferences and workshops covering a range of topics including Turkey's strategic future and more recently its efforts in countering terrorism. The focus over the next few months will be Turkish foreign and military policy, the Cyprus issue and energy and water security.
We are helped by our excellent relationships with other think tanks, both in the UK and the region, plus our extensive network of contacts and members. Close collaboration has been established with the LSE in London, SEESOX in Oxford, EDAM in Istanbul and in Ankara SETA, ISRO, TEPAV at TOBB University and SAREM.
The Forum is run by Alastair Cameron from the International Security Studies Department.
