Mark Joyce

Position: Americas Fellow

Mark Joyce is Senior Analyst with Stirling Assynt, a consultancy specialising in country and terrorism risk analysis and strategic business intelligence. He is a former Head of RUSI's Transatlantic Programme and still contributes regularly to the Institute's publications focusing on Latin American politics, defence and security issues. He has lived in Central and South America and travels regularly to the region.

He has written for publications including the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune, Jane’s Intelligence Review and Foreign Report and the Oxford Analytica Daily Brief . He has provided commentary for the BBC, CNN, CNBC and Sky News. His publications and reports for RUSI include Transformation of Military Operations on the Cusps (2006, with United States Department of Defense); Science and Technology for a Transforming Alliance, (2005, with the Richard Lounsbery Foundation, Washington DC) and Reforming NATO Force Generation, (2005, with NATO and UK MoD).

He holds an MPhil in International Relations from Oxford University.
