British Library

The Centre holds the private papers of over 700 senior defence personnel who held office from 1900 onwards.

Liddle Collection, University of Leeds
Large collection of first-hand individual experiences of the First and Second World War. The archive includes original letters and diaries, official and personal papers, photographs, newspapers and artwork, as well as written and tape-recorded recollections.

National Army Museum Templer Study Centre
The Templer study centre provides access to the museum’s archives, photograph, film and sound collections.

The National Archives, Kew, UK
The National Archives is the official archive of the UK Government. It contains a large and important collection of official records relating to the UK’s military history and the service papers of many of those soldiers who served in the ranks of the UK’s armed forces.
